Jennifer Charney, M.A., LPA
About Jennifer
Jennifer Charney works with children ages 2-18 conducting a variety of evaluations including assessing for learning disorders (dyslexia, math disorders, dysgraphia), ADHD, anxiety, depression, and autism. Jennifer is a Licensed Psychological Associate with Independent Practice (LPA) & Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP). For over a decade, she has worked in private and public schools including Dallas ISD, completing psychoeducational and autism evaluations. Most recently, she has been conducting evaluations in private practice and helping parents advocate for their children in the school setting. Jennifer has found her experience as a teacher helps her create realistic and achievable accommodations in the classroom setting.
Jennifer was born and raised in Dallas. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Tulane University. After college, Jennifer taught English as a Second Language in Irving ISD. She attended graduate school at George Mason University where she earned a masters and specialists degree in School Psychology. She completed her internship in Arlington ISD. Jennifer and her husband have three children (two sons and a daughter) who keep them busy. In her free time, she loves to travel, bake, read, and spend time with family and friends. She is looking forward to helping the next generation of diverse learners become confident, resilient students.
